Designs B

Design B seems strong for the reasons already cited -- but also because it incorporates one image that patients/the public will identify with. I think more images of patients in ERs would make design(s) stronger, reminding public of their stories (I'm thinking of parents who have had to race their children to the ER in the middle of the night). Perhaps these photos are placeholders -- or will rotate with additional images? If Design C had a patient-oriented image, it would be a stronger candidate (It feels more organized -- gives clearer guidance on what to do). The phrase "Do Your Part" seems heavy handed. If it's clear relatively easy -- they'll do it. "How to Help" or something similar seems more appropriate.

Campaign Mode info submission process

When in campaign mode: Force the sequence, as with the original site: Step One: Put in your zip code to find your hospital Step Two: Sign the petition Step Three: Email and fax your legislator (based on zip code) This has design implications (not huge, but important) Brent: Call me if you need to discuss.

Review

I like the clean white space, and easy, simple design. I like three images that could revolve or move. I also prefer the top navigation style instead of the more traditional, across-the-top style. I'd like to add some description text to the "take Action butons as was created in example C.

Action Buttons

I like the usage of space in Option b of Designs A. Having 4 action buttons is nice and fills the page- I'd like to see descriptions of buttons as shown in Designs C. Very great layout and color schematic

Thoughts

I really like the white space as an element in Design A. It has an open, welcoming feeling. I think the strategy decision will be whether we need to be in a "crisis mode" - which may be Design B - or whether we can take more of a "partnership" approach (ie Design A).

Review during meeting

Option 1 with red? We like the action-oriented navigation. Use the Crisis language to make more intense.

Good!

I like the clean appearance and the use of photos. If the square blocks turned red when people hovered over them, it would be very clear that they are actions. A little arrow or something might help make them clearly "buttons" would be good.
